Hey I didn't see this thread before. Show tempos are usually around or over 250 (not sure if I'm allowed to say hehe), for my practice I like to start exercises at 88 and build up to about 226. For realllllly slllllllow practice, I stay at 88 but play half as slow, for example to memorize...

Wait that doesn't really answer the question:D See what I mean??? Usually running your own business means you make your own schedule, so that's not bad, other musicians get lucky and have positions for school boards and stuff which allows them a long vacation every year, or a flexible schedule...

...really, or maybe it's just a really personal question;) For my part I stopped working in IT last year and started LaMerch.com, and Bart has been my mentor and guide for that, but honestly I think it's just a difficult question to answer. Hope that clears it up a bit!

You also had a really great set in ANkara, I was impressed with the tightness of the rythmic section (drums+bass), the sophisticated guitar work and the great songwriting! You should have been higher on the bill;)

Top secret: bassism on a new song has been committed yesterday and the day before. For the session I used a bass that belongs to another Montreal bassist we all know and love. Wanna know more, come to the shows;)
