    6th album update

It probably has protools on it, therefore it is a current day "conventional" studio.

    Kalmah and Star Trek

Okay, Kalmah can make a space album. But only when they solve interstellar travel and find a swamp on another planet.

    Kalmah and Star Trek

Dude, you didn't even read my post. I would burst out laughing if Kalmah did a space album. Kalmah just took a quote from Star Trek. Star Trek is a well written show that uses its setting for creative plot devices, etc. Kalmah in space LOL, read the post man.

    Kalmah and Star Trek

I was watching the original Star Trek series online. At the end of the episode "Mirror Mirror", Captain Kirk says, "In every revolution, there is a man with a vision." I don't know if this was brought up here before, but I instantly was like. Oh my god, KALMAH!

For the fans of old kalmah

The new album is great, it is missing some elements I love from their old albums, but its still fantastic. Dead Man's Shadow is my favorite :D I still plan on $upporting Kalmah of course, anyone know when they're getting new shirts?

    Favorite bands?

Kalmah Wolves In The Throne Room Godspeed You Black Emperor! old At The Gates Necrophagist The three especially create an amazing atmosphere with their music. Old ATG and Necrophagist do as well, but not to the extent of Kalmah WITTR, and Godspeed. If you like Opeth at all, listen to...

how did you guys get into kalmah?

I was talking to an old friend about how I was going to a Bodom show soon, and he said he didn't really like Bodom, but he liked Kalmah. I was like wtf is Kalmah. I found some of their songs, and now Im the same way, fuck Bodom! Kalmah has waay more melody and atmosphere. Kalmah and Wolves...

    For the revolution, You Tube.

The new song is alright, doesn't really have as much of that classic Kalmah feel to it, it's still good but not as Kalmah feeling. I'm just not convinced yet, hopefully the melodic swampyness of Kalmah is included in some of the other songs. Thats just my 2cents.

    Languages

I have been wanting to learn a foreign language for a while, for multiple reasons. First of all, I think it could be fun, and it'd give me a reason to study abroad. Secondly, it seems that learning another language would only increase the effectiveness of your thought patterns, or allow you to...

    Lamb Of God - Sacrament

I wasn't a metal virgin but I only listened to powermetal until I started listening to bodom, then to lamb of god, then I started listening to opeth, now I listen to straight up death and black metal only pretty much

    Man With Mystery

I see where you're coming from, but wood cutter's hands wouldn't have to be that bad with gloves and such. Not only that, but I play guitar and I have never had to watch out for what I do with my hands, if anything Ive just had to watch out to not hurt my wrists lifting heavy stuff.

    RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD

Requesting some heavy ass higher quality production death metal like Decapitated and Blood Red Throne (though BRT borders grind sometimes)
