    Flight arrival times

I will be arriving from NY with a stopover in Philly on the 9th around 6 pm. If last year is any indicator, my luggage will be arriving on the 10th at some point. Us Air managed to lose my luggage last year going down and coming home. Let's see if US Air can go three for three. Scott

    MOLLY HATCHET. Any fans?

If "Queen" can tour without Freddie Mercury and "Thin Lizzy" without Phil Lynott, why not? Please note, the previous statement should not be interpreted as a positive statement in any way, shape or form. Scott

    Friday-Maiden shirt day!

I was having my chops busted last year because I didn't wear black and didn't wear any concert tees. I plan on repeating that this year. I'll wear a pink shirt (wearing one today), red shirt, doesn't matter to me. I generally tend to march to my own beat anyhow, so I'm not sure if I'll join...

Porcupine Tree - The Incident (2009)

Not sure about anyplace else, but up here in NY, King's X is opening for Porcupine Tree. Having seen both bands on several occasions, this is shaping up to be one of the top non-ProgPower USA concerts of the year. If you haven't seen either of these bands before, why are you deprving yourself...

Anyone got any obscure prog metal recommendations?

Good call on the Dali's Dilemma from a number of people. Anyone know whatever happened to them? Not sure if they're obscure enough but I didn't see Dead Soul Tribe (though Psychotic Waltz were mentioned) and Sieges Even. Scott

    QUEENSRYCHE "AMERICAN SOLDIER"....

35? You're still a kid. I went to my first concert 31 years ago. In my defense it was Sabbath with Van Halen opening up.

    Anyone else enjoy I.Q.?

Check out Subterranea first. I would also recommend The Vistor from Arena as well if you haven't heard it. Scott

Judas Priest, Whitesnake , Popevil 2009 Tour Dates

Zod, I must agree with you on this one. I generally tend to enjoy the lesser and up and coming bands more than the "classics". I saw a lot of these bands in their prime back in the 80s and have little interest in seeing them today. While I understand those who haven't seen them, or want to...

    Buy your airline tickets now!

Last year I flew out of McArthur on Long Island. It was expensive, and the a-holes on Southwest air managed to lose my luggage going down AND coming home. Ah, the memories. Fantastic show though.

    Pumped to see Fates Warning

Just so you know, not sure if it is going to come to fruition, but Howard who runs Three Rivers Prog was trying to get Mark Zonder to do a drum clinic between sets at 3RP. Saw him at Rosfest a few weeks ago. Looks like I'm going to miss that one again this year (Progressive Nation is playing...
