to me Iconoclast is by miles their best work.

it is actually better after several spins. I really like it now. it's iffy sound-wise, but other than that....come on people, you haven't expected another SX/DT clone, have you? it's metal with balls. I wasn't convinced, but I found myself singing those tunes after a while, and I really dig it now

any of King Diamond albums Ken Hensley-Blood on the highway...just to mention few

it surely doesn't sound as crisp as Torn, but it serves the songs better. i feel it was the intent to focus more on songs rather than instruments

my album arrived yesterday. i love it!!! and Carina's version of ...and the Distance is soooo different from Tom's intepretation. he's much brute force. but i guess that's the intent

having heard another two songs (free, at the distance)...i'm still not convinced

MMA is my favourite and it does have some stronge traces similar to this. but something IS strange. i don't know what yet, but i'll figure that out. at first i couldn't overlook LOTS of keyboards which were definitely not so pushed to the front. but i love change. i have to admit i didn't hear...
