    Artmore room

I'm looking for a room at the Artmore as well. Contacted Ironlady but she's canceled hers. If anyone has one available please PM me asap. Would consider the Residence as well if someone has a single.

The Official PPUSA IX 'Regrets' thread

I seem to remember introducing you to some new people. Next year I'm just going to spend all my party time introducing people to you, most of whom I won't know. So don't be surprised if I introduce you to people you already know. "Hey guys...haaaave you met booB!?" Regrets: - Not...

For those not in attendance, what happened with Damian and his "guest"?

You're right, she can't. Mostly because I have footage proving otherwise. ;) It seemed pretty apparent that he just had no idea people would react that way. Mostly because he's not American (and we're sadly the repressed ones at this point in history) and maybe just a little 'cause he was...

    Quotes from the weekend:

The follow up to this was the best quote of the year though. Paraphrased until I can review the footage. ;) "When you're talking about linear math...you know you're getting laid." - Zak Stevens.

    Mirror Black News

Hey, guys. Some of you may know me from the band Mirror Black, and some of you just from hanging out at ProgPower and Powerfest. Anyway the short version is I'm no longer with Mirror Black. Creative differences, different directions, yadayada, etc. I don't know what will happen with the album...

    MADPOWER FEST 2006

http://www.myspace.com/mapower2006 It's sort of a two stage deal. First half is outdoors, all ages, second half is indoor 21+ (though we're trying to get it 18+) Cellador is headlining the outdoor part at 8pm or something, and they're working on a bigger headliner for the later, indoor part.

    Dragonforce officially mainstream

Yup. See: Cellador. Their video was on Headbanger's Ball this weekend, as well as a Metal Blade ad for them, which ran FOUR times. This exact same pattern happened last week with Dragonforce. I hope everyone's ready, 'cause power metal is gonna be the next big thing.

    Meat Loaf

This is what happens when Meat Loaf songs aren't written by Jim Steinman. I thought the track was pretty unexciting and I went from "Yay guitars" to "wait...where's the uh...piano...and interesting melody and OH CRAP this isn't Steinman is it?" I see there are SOME Steinman songs on the album...

    Lioness's Jaxx Diaries, Chapter 616, May 7th. 2006

That show looked so good. I'm seriously jealous. And I totally need a Deathklok shirt. Why has this tour forsaken Wisconsin!? Why do I LIVE in Wisconsin!? ARGH.

    Top 5 guitarists

Not in any order, 'cause that crap hurts my brain... 1) John Petrucci 2) Mattias "IA" Eklundh (JayDub, I wanna see that footage!) 3) Steve Vai 4) Michael Romeo (though somewhat contingent on the next album) 5) A tie between Buckethead and Ron Jarzombek. I don't listen to either of them all that...

Daniel Gildenlöw (PoS) Sings on Symphonic Dark ProgAlbum

Sounds pretty good. I'm a huge PoS/DG fan too. Will definitely have to pick this up.

Holy Midnight Has Lost His Mind Batman!

It's really not. Maybe if it stopped after the first 3 or 4, but really ALL that trouble to sell exactly 112 CDs? Unless they're going for $100+ a piece or something, it's not clever marketing at all. Just crazy marketing. In fact if you consider the probable costs to produce and manufacture it...

    whats your theme song?

It's a tough one but I think it's Pain of Salvation's "Fandango" or possibly "Beyond the Pale"
