Thrashers Fueled By Fire signed to Metal Blade

Finally, Metal Blade are taking a break from the tiring extreme metal signings that make their recent catalogue a no-go area for most old schoolians. California thrashers Fueled By Fire have been signed to the label, resulting in the re-release of the self-financed Spread the fire! album...

    Keep it True X (2008)

Never thought I'd see the day, but the long lost US thrashers of Sentinel Beast have reunited and been added to the Friday billing of Keep It True X. And yes, Debbie Gunn (ex-Znöwhite) will be behind the mic!:kickass: Tickets will be available within a few weeks. Here's the update with the...

    'Sleepers' - Messiah's Kiss - 'Dragonheart' (2007)

The Black Knight I was talking about is a different one too, though. The one you mentioned are the Americans who recorded the classic Master of disaster (with the b/w fantasy artwork).

    'Sleepers' - Messiah's Kiss - 'Dragonheart' (2007)

Great topic/post, PM Rebel! Marauder are indeed from Greece. At last someone who mentions the Airged l'Amh-cd. That is such an underrated album. Lots of energy, an epic atmosphere throughout and an unpolished production that's exactly right for this type of metal. A prominent sleeper for...

Bang Your Head festival, 22/23 June, 2007

Due to bands cancelling, the Bang Your Head!!! festival has two great new additions to the billing: the mighty Lethal and Italian epic gods Adramelch. That makes Friday the 22nd, first day of the fest, surprisingly worthwhile for US-metalfans, NWoBHM-followers and allround traditionalists...

BBC2 metal documentary Saturday June 9th

Read that post again, please. Did I say there's anything wrong with Maiden, Priest, Sab and Metallica? It's just that these choices are so bloody obvious. A documentary filmmaker should be judged by his knowledge, research and handling of the subject matter at hand. If you pretend to make a...

BBC2 metal documentary Saturday June 9th

The fourth episode of the rock history series Seven ages of rock is called Never say die: Heavy Metal. Airs between 22.10 and 23.10 hrs. Paris/Amsterdam time on BBC2. Don't get your hopes up for a load of NWoBHM or underground stuff, though: this documentary only covers the usual suspects...

    Y&T on tour - Melkweg/Amsterdam show May 18

Yep, that's a must have. According to Meniketti in an interview with the German mag Heavy this month, Y&T had already filmed a few American shows some years ago. The band were so disappointed with the results, the recordings didn't make it onto dvd. 'Pity I couldn't make it to the Zoetermeer...
