I would say Sodom's best album would be Persecution Mania over Agent Orange, also I would recommend getting some Coroner, Razor, and earlier Celtic Frost. And am I the only thrash fan that hates Overkill?
My bad, I'm pretty new here, and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. I just thought it was funny because I always see the movie in my head when that part starts.
I disagree, I personally think it flows really well, and after a couple listens am able to anticipate the movements in the music. But maybe that song just clicks with me, it's obviously not something everyone is going to like.
This is kind of random, but has anyone else been reminded of the Mortal Kombat movie theme at about 7:27 in on BRI. The base line sounds just like the opening music to that movie.
It may be a tad overrated but it is still an amazing song, 20 minutes and none of it feels repetitive, and in my opinion flows brilliantly. However I would say that my favorite song off that album would be To Bid You Farewell with Black Rose Immortal a close second.
Dude, there are some other melo-death metal bands that are worth a listen if you are not into the constant blasts and indecipherable grunts of the more brutal acts in the genre. Amon Amarth comes to mind.
I'm not listening to Pantera. They were one of the first metal bands I was introduced to, and with all due respect to the late Dimebag, I could never see what everyone else seemed to see in them.
