    Metal Introduction

Depends what one defines as underground. I'd guess that Black Sabbath are probably 'overground', so to speak, along with Metallica. So... Erm... Possibly Cradle of Filth? Or maybe Stormtroopers of Death.

The first time you listened to death metal

The first death metal song I heard was Deicide's 'Sacrificial Suicide', which I downloaded (using Napster, no less :) ) during my first year of uni. I wasn't too keen on it to begin with, but then it grew on me. Nowadays, death metal isn't my favourite genre, though I do like a fair bit of it...

    Favorite RARE album you own?

I have a promo of Lawnmower Deth's 'Billy' album. Does that count? Or is it just somehting that not many people would actually want? :)

    the mighty Darkthrone..

I like Darkthrone. The first album I bought was 'Under a Funeral Moon', and it took me a while to get into it, being so raw and all :) But after a while I began to appreciate the style a lot more. As for the politics/racism thing, I don't care what the views of the musicians are, so long as...

Q&A - Wanna see how big a thread can go?

A: Skirts. For the ladies to wear, that is :). Though I'm not averse to doing so myself... Q: Would you sandpaper your head to relieve boredom?

the "why do you hate pantera" thread

I quite like them, though not in a major way. Anselmo does come across as being a tit sometimes, though.

    Most underrated Metal Albums

Definitely agree with 'Chaos AD' and 'Spreading the Disease', though I didn't realise either of them were underrated. Although 'Spreading the Disease' isn't actually available in the UK except as import, which is incredibly silly. I think the same is true of 'Persistence of Time'.

    Polls

Polls are fun. They act as a good conversation trigger.

    DEATH vs. OPETH

I voted for Death. Because I like them more than Opeth, basically.

Battle of the bands - FINAL

Anthrax. I only wish I could cast a vote for every atom in my body, for then An thrax would cane Opeth's arse :) I quite like Opeth, but love Anthrax to bits, as it were, so I voted for them. Not that it'll make much difference...

    Favorite RARE album you own?

Don't know if it counts, but probably the rarest thing I have (that I'm aware of) is my Exodus 'Pleasures of the Flesh' picture disc. I nearly got Lawnmower Deth's split with Metal Duck once on eBay, but someone outbid me :( I got Carcass's 'Symphonies of Sickness' with original artwork and...
