i don't think you have to manually turn all pots to match the white line. the sound changes when you recall the preset, then if you want to change something, you turn the pot to the white line and then proceed to your desired setting. at least that's how it'd make sense to me.

yeah try a capo, or just tune your low string to C for the C songs? shouldn't be too hard to adapt to new fingering positions?

i think the evolution of this forum is largely a mirror of the evolution of the band's fanbase. Skulk and Arasmas caused it to close down? yeah right. Mikael's posts have been the only thing of interest on this forum for a long long time.

take out the plug and see if the hdd noise is still there while running on battery... if it is, then eliminating the ground loop won't fix it
