Deftones - My own Summer cover

Not digging the intro/verse guitars at all and the timing is a bit sloppy but the chorus sounds frigging great.

    Best way to hang foam?

I just use fabric pins and gently tap them in with a hammer. Depending on the size of the foam you usually only need one or two strategically placed pins.

    Workout

I would probably go ahead and choose moderately active as a starting point assuming you are going to be working out once you start the diet plan. Do your best to stick with your diet and exercise plan for 4 weeks then you can reassess your caloric needs. For example, if you're trying to lose...

    Workout

Diet is most definitely the hardest part. Was for me anyways. I've now been eating relatively clean for an entire year though I'll let myself have cheat meals on the weekends as long as it's not completely disgusting. I also use MyFitnessPal and iFitness and they help so much with tracking...

    Workout

Been working out on and off for the last ten years and I can safely say that, without a doubt, nutrition is absolutely the most important part of any good workout/exercise program. Read up on macro-nutrient intake, figure out your BMR and create a diet plan and do your best to stick to it. You...

    Antress Plugins

I use the 1176 and distressor clone all the time. Although, the 1176 I have isn't the seventh sign one in the video above but rather an exact replica of the real thing. Not sure where I came across it. Looks much nicer.

    Joey... any stereo imaging?

I remember seeing him post that he used S1 imager with the subtle widening preset on guitars. This was a LONG time ago though so I'm sure this has changed.

    Heaviest song ever.

I wasn't aware Type O Negative covered this song.

    Tips on mixing and mastering

Track doesn't sound too bad aside from the clean vox. Those clean vocals need to be EQ'd better and tuned. Sounds like you could hi-pass them quite a bit more than what you are doing. They also sit on top of the mix too much.

Client refuses to pay, what would you do?

In addition to everything else said, and to reiterate a few posts, Voxengo beeper is your friend.

Thoughts on this mix? (Pensado's place contest)

Posted it in the Facebook group but figured i'd post here as well. Downloaded the tracks for the Pensado's place mix contest and did a quick mix. Haven't really given it a real-world listen yet. Any tips are appreciated. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2375427/Get%20Up.mp3

    Metal Ads.

There are only two things that freak me out. Clowns and period blood. AdBlock+ FTW.

    Mixing an ALBUM

I always take one song from the group that I feel best represents the overall sound of the band and mix that one to a point where it's almost finalized (minus automation). Once the band is happy with that track I save the project as a template and simply create new projects with that template...

    Metallica covers (Blackened/Harvester Of Sorrow)

Bass too loud...not serious. This is pretty damn good and holy shit at the singer! Very complimentary to the AJFA vibe but with more (existent) low end.
