Has anyone here have any experience with fan funding? I've been thinking about getting involved but would like a heads up from someone who's used fan funding sites.

Anyone? Was hoping to get some insight from someone who has used fan funding. Also, have any bands/artists launched a 'successful' career using fan funding?

I've been looking into fan funding labels/sites and I wanted to know if anyone here has had experience with them either as an artist or fan/investor. I'm thinking about getting involved so any advice on the various sites available and fan funding in general would be greatly appreciated.

hey, i'm currently looking to upgrade my set up, and was thinking about getting the digi 03 with protools le and the production pack so i could get multi-track beat detective. i'm currently using logic pro 7 and my sound card is the motu 828mk2, i haven't had great results editing drums with it...

does anyone know any awsome sounding recordings that use triple recs? i want something to reference, i'm finding alot of my reference tracks are using peavey's.

i start with the bass, usually -17/-18db balance the sound evenly then build off of that.

i think theres a whistle type effect, i maybe wrong sorta like old school ufo sound from a movie(i maybe wrong) and a piano line. would be cool to know stuff like what amp/s were used, was it live drums or programmed what sort of comp and eq were used(especially on the drums they sound awsome)

personally i like double tracking and only quad tracking certain parts of the song to beef it up and add some dynamics.

i usually use 4:1 or 5:1 quick attack and release mainly use it to keep the snare in check, between 2-4 dBs. although it really depends on the style of music. the solos and sweep picking sound sweeet.
