Hello people, after a long time I decided to publish the newest demo video of my Orange Dual Dark 50 amplifier running into a Two Notes Torpedo Reload and VB101. I used the Orange PPC412 closed back cab from the Orange Official Cabinet Pack from Two Notes. Hope you like and enjoy it. Greetings...

Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and Nightwish´s Bare Grace Misery

Hello everyone, I decided to do an interpretation-like demo using my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier playing Nightwish´s song Bare Grace Misery from the album Wishmaster. I double tracked the guitar and put the two tracks just over the backing track, panned hard right and hard left. All the...

Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp // Rock // Metal // High Gain // Whatever

Thanks! May I ask what EQ settings you are running on the Studio Pre for lead tones? Wouldn´t suggest the classical V-setting, but enhancing the mids at 750Hz or even an "anti"-V-setting. Thats the reason why I think the Studio Pre can do modern metal tones, but not singing mid-ranged lead tones...

Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier with Two Notes Torpedo Reload

Hey guys, here you can check out my new video using the reactive-active attenuator from the Two Notes Torpedo Reload and the mic and cab simulation from the Torpedo VB101. To my taste, the feeling and response of the reactive-active attenuator from the Torpedo Reload is a little more advanced...

Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp - Metal?!

For all of you who are wondering if this vintage piece of gear is able to handle modern metal tones... of course its subjective and remains as a matter of taste :headbang:

Sansamp PSA 1.1 - Metal - preset #24 (Mesa Rectifier)

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I literally have an on-off relationship with my Sansamp and recorded 3 tracks, published them on Youtube and deleted them again short after  You are absolutely right with the sound of the Sansamp through a power amp and a real cab... to me it sounds dark and...

    Mesa Boogie Mark V - Channel 2 - CRUNCH

As the title says, Channel 2 on my Mesa Mark V in CRUNCH mode. Maybe not enough gain for modern high gain metal, but still a nice and thick crunch sound for rythm work.

Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp - Metal

Thank you very much. Its basically nothing more than 2 LED light packs, which I bought from IKEA ;-) They can change the color as well :-P

Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp - Metal

You are right, there is indeed a mod you can do to actually make the Studio Pre sound like a Mark IIC+. So, maybe there is a missunderstanding but in my idea the circuit of the Studio Pre comes pretty close to the preamp circuit of the Mark IIC+, so I called it "based on" the Mark IIC+, but off...
