Thanks! May I ask what EQ settings you are running on the Studio Pre for lead tones? Wouldn´t suggest the classical V-setting, but enhancing the mids at 750Hz or even an "anti"-V-setting. Thats the reason why I think the Studio Pre can do modern metal tones, but not singing mid-ranged lead tones...

You´re right, unfortunately I don´t own a Torpedo Studio myself, yet :cry: Maybe time will solve this probleme :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I literally have an on-off relationship with my Sansamp and recorded 3 tracks, published them on Youtube and deleted them again short after :eek: You are absolutely right with the sound of the Sansamp through a power amp and a real cab... to me it sounds dark and...

Decided to give the Sansamp PSA 1.1 another chance.... direct recorded into my Tascam US-1200....guitars are double tracked.

As the title says, Channel 2 on my Mesa Mark V in CRUNCH mode. Maybe not enough gain for modern high gain metal, but still a nice and thick crunch sound for rythm work.

Thank you very much. Its basically nothing more than 2 LED light packs, which I bought from IKEA ;-) They can change the color as well :-P

You are right, there is indeed a mod you can do to actually make the Studio Pre sound like a Mark IIC+. So, maybe there is a missunderstanding but in my idea the circuit of the Studio Pre comes pretty close to the preamp circuit of the Mark IIC+, so I called it "based on" the Mark IIC+, but off...
