    Filling a pikcup cavity

Best way - Fill it with a solid piece of wood, glued in with wood glue, sand it level, fill any cracks with wood filler (minimal hopefully), sand it again and refinish the guitar. Easiest way - Get some pickguard material, cut it slightly larger than the hole and screw it on. You could always...

    Most Repulsive...

Sorry girlie man, I do have a beautiful wife - unlike yourself, and I don't read too many of your posts (for obvious reasons), so I didn't catch your juvenile rip until an incidental mouse over just a little bit ago. So now you've ripped on my wife, and my mom-who died at 38 from a brain...

    The forgotten albums - thread

I dig your signature Megadeth502! David Gilmour is an amazing guitarist and that's a classy statement from Dave.

    Perfect Metal Guitar

My Jackson is a DR7 7 string. The pickups are weak (duncan design), the volume and tone pots move around in the cavity and the 3 way switch shorts out when switching from bridge to neck. The guitar pretty much came that way new. Not impressed with the Jackson quality in the least. I have an...

    The forgotten albums - thread

Although it's not very old, the S/T from The Quill is a true gem. If you're a fan of Led Zeppelin, early Fastway, Badlands and even Witchfinder General it's a must have (along with the rest of The Quill library).

    Perfect Metal Guitar

I totally agree. I have two Ibanez's, a Jackson, and an ESP ltd (soon to be "had"), and the Ibanez's whoop the other two. I'm not sure why you're ruling Ibanez's out, but I'd seriously reconsider. ...And Darthlardo is 100% correct about the EMG HZ's. The absolute worst pickups I've ever had...

    The forgotten albums - thread

DrillSergeant - The first thing that came to mind when I started reading your post was a great cd from the band "Fall From Grace". And then I got to the part where you mentioned Exhorder - who's guitarist, Jay Ceravolo, is in Fall From Grace! Weird. Anyway, it's a great cd and the only one...

    5150 time again?

You might like my favorite band if swine said it was ok. Try reading my original post and tell me who started this crap. And I do believe the topic of this post was stated in the form of a question, was it not?

You're funny. Now take your medication and go night-night.

    5150 time again?

Translation: You can't deny the fact that The Van Hagar era reached more highs than they did with Roth. i.e. Commercialism and position on the Pop charts. I don't know about the rest of the world(nor do I care). This discussion is only open to people who agree with me, preferrably...

    5150 time again?

Last I heard, Hagar was reunited with Montrose (per Guitar One magazine). Kind of odd there is no mention of it in this article. It's alot more exciting.

    Recording MIDI - Here's how!

I've been on other boards here and there and a lot of people want to record something they did in a midi program into a multitrack program (like cooledit), but nobody can tell them how to do it. I found a website that shows how to do it, and I wanted to pass it along to you home recorders...

    Agents of Oblivion

Can't help ya...I really dig AoO too. It's just Dax man, he's an amazing vocalist & song writer. Since they only did one album, you can just forget about them and enjoy that Acid Bath (who I like better too). Rock on! "It's only the end....of the world....again....."
