I've been on other boards here and there and a lot of people want to record something they did in a midi program into a multitrack program (like cooledit), but nobody can tell them how to do it. I found a website that shows how to do it, and I wanted to pass it along to you home recorders.
First, let me state that MIDI has no sound (before some else does). It is just commands - and in a midi music program, it commands your computers synth to make certain noises. That being said, there IS a way to record it along with your guitar tracks. It's not going to be exactly the same as actually recording the desired instruments, but I bet it's good enough for alot of home projects.
I tried it myself, and it worked great. I now have a really cool dark orchestra intro, that I wrote in MuzicalWizard, on one of my doom songs!
