at4040's are super all around mics, i havent been able to make them sound bad anywhere. Honestly I also really like dynamic mics a lot of the time as I'm rolling most highs out anyways I find the mid range on dynamics pleasing.

Bingo! If it gets bumped it doesnt have as much leverage to do damage. It isnt a sound quality thing.

Is there a resource that shows how cpu intensive plugins are? Maybe a rating out of 10 or something showing how hard they are on processing. Obviously this can be achieved but inserting each and looking at the usage but it would come in handy to see especially before purchasing never used before...
