Can anyone recommend me some hopeless, utterly nihilistic metal? Its existential bleakness can pertain to either lyrical content or the music itself. This is usually characteristic of sludge (EyeHateGod, Acid Bath) or black metal, but I'm open to bands of any genre. Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure what the technical ascriptions would be beyond deathgrind for the majority of these bands, but I'm looking for something along the lines of Blood Freak, Frightmare, Bile etc. Basically death metal infused with grindcore elements that draw heavily upon horror film imagery.

That was exquisite. 9.1/10 Slightly shortened, but a great tune nonetheless.
