Nu metal!! No way!!! I think the word you're looking for is Metalcore, but there's barely a hint of that! I think it sounds heavier and kinda fuller because the guitars are louder and more distorted. And Araya kinda screams.

WTF Trivium DO play their own solos. I saw a them doing a 50 minute set at Amsterdam (www.fabchannel.com/ search trivium then play) and they play their solos almost exactly like they do on the CD.

Probably one of the few welsh metallers on here (i'm not actually welsh, but i've lived here for 5 years)........er Slayer rule hopefully touring with Devil driver in march! Anyone coming?
