Hey ladies and everyone else. I've finally made it back to the best (and best looking) maiden covers band in the world. Took some time to sort out a few issues, things went from bad to worse and now seem to be on the rise. Been in a very bad and dark place and I don't wanna go back. So...

First guitar track I ever played was the intro to "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2. Was quickly followed by Nirvana's smells like teen spirit and then some guns and roses if I remember correctly.

Well so far in the band I am in.....we are using the bass to follow the guitar a lot, making it easier for me. Except when the guitarist puts a really gnarly bit in thats quite awkward to play on bass. What I tend to do is follow the guitar rhythm and play the root notes for most of the time...

Thanks CC and Kirsten. I am honoured to be the daddy of such a special little boy. He's extremely brave to have gone through all that surgery. Hopefully things are looking up now, small issue with his artery.....but we hope to have that sorted without them havig to open his chest again. Josh...

I had forgotten all about this thread. Josh continues to do well, he had another surgery on Dec 16th to widen his pulmonary Artery.

OK After 20 years of struggling to play guitar, I decided to have a go at Bass instead. I have never had any lessons and struggled and struggled with techniques, styles etc. As for bass, would I be better learning other peoples songs or should I just experiment and learn and develop my own...
