It's been happening too much recently I don't think some of these bands understand that last-minute cancels and no-shows means I've now lost a whole day of income. I would have given their slot to someone else if I knew they'd cancel at the last minute...

Hello. Let's take for example, distorted guitars. As I EQ to open up space in a mix, I have trouble finding what makes some frequencies pleasant as opposed to being unpleasant. To my ears, boosting and frequency sweeping with a tight Q by +24db sounds awful across the entire spectrum...

Moved into a new home recently. I'd like to get my monitors off of my desk and onto stands. My carpet here is fairly fluffy. About a half inch thick. No monitor stand I've looked at online would make me comfortable putting my monitors on them. The monitors are fairly heavy, about 25 pounds...
