Hmm... I am interested to hear this. Certainly. But I've never really listened to Demigod or The Apostasy often for long periods of time...I get bored with it. But that sums up death metal to me...I get bored. I'm hoping it's not just going to be "more of the same", so to speak...

I voted for Vikingligr Veldi, mostly because I'm a bigger fan of Enslaved than the others there. But besides that, I'd go with De Mysteriis, Nightside, and Carpathian Wolves if it was there :D

Yeah I like Vesania too. Firefrost Arcanum is my favourite, the latter two are still good, but just makes me think of Behemoth too much. Firefrost seems a bit more unique maybe? The bands I'd consider my tops at the moment are: Wolves in the Throne Room Drudkh Enslaved Agalloch I...

Currently listening to the self-titled Hypocrisy album. I can't decide which I like the most out of Arrival, Virus, or this one, which I've only recently got... Other than that I am absolutely thrashing Wolves in the Throne Room, Enslaved and Drudkh at the moment.

As soon as I read the original post I knew there was going to be some mild outrage, to say the least...after all, this is the 'official' forum for Amon Amarth... And to add my comments, I completely agree. Versus the World was the first AA I heard, and one of those pivotal albums that got me...

I too struggle to write if I'm "trying" to write... Like if I had no firm idea of what I wanted to do. My best works have been spontaneous, really...I start jamming out and get an idea, or come up with a good riff. And somehow it just seems to start flowing from then... Often though I do...

Haha likewise!!! I struggle to get an awesome tone though... I think part of the problem is that I play through a digi-effects pedal, much thicker sound than my amp's distortion. But then there's all the extra variables of EQ, gain and tonal settings... In short I have my bass just over...

^Indeed. Whether he said it or not I cannot confirm, but I heard he has no plans for music releases for the time being. And will someone try to kill him, do you think?? It was a long time ago...but maybe somewhere there's people who took that stuff so seriously (or personally, more-like)...

I think Once Sent... and Avenger have some of the band doing it, and also one of the early Enslaved (Vikingligr Veldi, perhaps?? Can't remember for sure).
