if you want to get close to a custom, put in the gibson 57 classic pickup...
that's what i have in my customs (& now also in my gold top).. it has not the highest output, but warmth & a fine mid-boost, which makes it almost 'creamy' sounding.. ;-)
first own demo '84 (4track casette-deck)
first time in studio '86
first time producing '89
first time knowing what i'm doing... still not happening.. ;-))
I'm feeling old too....
nah, we discussed all the pictures from the contest, but there was not one we all liked.. so ALL the pics will be inside the booklet, we've made a collage from them. for the frontcover we hired a photographer & a friend of ours as a 'model'.. it's still not perfect, but we were tired of waiting...
thanx! it was a les paul custom with '57 classic pickups into an analogman-modded sd1 (basically a tubescreamer mod) into an jcm800 2210 with a 1960B cab (GT75-celestions) miced with a SM57... pretty standard setup..

and yeah, the guitars are quite out of tune..
try to split the signal & add distortion on the second channel, this way he sounds 'meaner' during the recordings & he'll probably sing more agressive.. you can record this one too, or just redo it later.
sometimes it works wonders!
:ill: makes me wanna sell my analogmachine...:hypno: what an asshole!!!
I think there's only one word for this mail:
JEALOUSY...
so let's see if he's gonna show some of his work..:heh:
