Related question: At what point in the process....writing, recording, post-production, etc....did the band realize they had a truly "special" album on their hands? Not that the old stuff isn't solid, but they really kicked it up a bunch of notches with Renatus, as I'm sure most would agree.

This album is fantastic. If Dream Theater and Haken had a baby, this would be their child.

I actually like the band and yet I have to agree. I don't have a clue why they're so popular. So many other great bands out there and they sell out virtually every American city they play. It's remarkable.

It'll never happen, but I can't think of much I'd rather see. Top 5 disk, desert island album, no doubt about it.

Their last disk "A Discord Electric" and their new disk "Vices. Virtues. Visions." are both excellent if you like the bands mentioned above. The new one is particularly good!!
