First let me say goddamn. Ok so I foolishly ordered a Presonus recommended SIIG NN-400012-S8 pci firewire card before I even check my tower (yeah I know bad idea) and it turns out I have NO PCI slots, only pci express it would seem. Presonus lists both the ADS Pyro 1394a and StarTech EC13942 as compatible express cards, however I believe these are both for laptops, at least I know one of them is for sure. So if any of you guys could provide some insight as to what I should do, I would appreciate it greatly. Im so fucking tired of staring at my "$450.00 paperweight" aka FP10. I know the unit's firewire is burned out, but until I get a "compatible" chipset they won't replace it. Fuck!

thanks for the suggestion, I actually bought the SIIG card from there so it should be a clean exchange.
