1337 is a word used in gaming/hacking circles, means "Elite", but instead of using letters to write it you use numbers 1 = L, 3 = E, 7 = T.

i'm not papa lazarou but i think i can reply anyway, because when i read your post about "08/80" i thought the same thing, so i think i got his point. if i'm wrong, he's free to correct me.
if you only write month and year of birth, you can see a symmetry whose axis is "/" (yip, probably we have to assume that between the two 8 we have "|" and not "/". but great, bot 0 and 8 are symmetric numbers!). if you add the date of the day, that will break the symmetry, no matter what day is that.

Yeah I'm a dork, now I see what was meant I'm automatically on the defence with Papa Lara- Lasagn- Lozeng- "Papa L"...

Yeah adding in the date would ruin the symmetry, it's 26. But most of the time when I'm asked for my d.o.b. it's only asking month and year. Thanks for clearing that up
