'06 Honda Civic LX: Sedan or coupe?

For the civic, you have to get the coupe. It's a better looking car all around. The sedan is so plain and uninspired. Looks like the artist drew it out in a few minutes before they were supposed to present it.

So your a soccer mom blowing a rich dude?
 Good one dude. No, far from a chick dude. If you're going to buy a car buy something a bit classy y'know. Here you'd get an 03 Audi A4 for the same if not cheaper value than a Honda coupe. And it's only girls/gays/hairdressers that drive coupes in Ireland. If you're gonna blow that amount on a car, buy a real car not a barbie sports car.

maybe he doesn't want a car that takes premium gas and only gets 20 mpg? that's the number one thing I hate about my new car, going from regular gas and 35+ mpg to premium and 20 mpg, shit SUCKS

shoulda kept the civic for long road trips

Sedan is just so much more practical really.

Yeah, this is the concern. Looks vs Function... Why does it have to be difficult?

+1! Though I think the sedan looks pretty cool, just not nearly as "good" as the coupe.

This... I want something cheap, small, and reliable. I don't care about driving performance, ANYTHING will be an upgrade over my POS 95 Ford Explorer.

After I graduate and get a real job, I'll consider a "fun" car :)

Diesel cars are far more economical than petrol cars and the majority of Audi, VW, BMW and Mercs here are diesel. All the jap cars such as Mazda, Honda, Toyota etc are petrol. Petrol is far more expensive here as opposed to diesel and they regulate the horsepower of cars here by an increase in motor tax example: the greater the hp, the higher the tax.

I owned a multitude of jap cars at various stages and they fucking DRANK petrol spending on average of 50 bucks a week on fuel just to do a daily round trip of 20 miles to work, taking into account that I was driving an "eco-friendly" 1.5 litre engine. With diesel, I get 2-3 weeks on the same quota. Sure jap cars are built like tanks engine-wise and give little or no engine trouble compared to Fiat, Ford, Renault etc but they are costly bastards to run.

Ahh, I see. I'm in the US, though, and gas is about $.40 cheaper than diesel where I live. We also don't have anything like the motor taxes, and even if we did, the majority of Audi, BMW, Benz, etc. cars require premium gas, which is about $.50 more expensive than regular.

Necrobump, but I have discovered much in my research: Mainly, fuck LX I want an EX. Here are the main differences:

Sedan Pros:
- 4 doors
- Larger

Sedan cons:
- More expensive
- Worse sound system

Coupe Pros:
- Better suspension
- Lighter
- Better sound system (6 speaker+sub)
- Looks better

Coupe cons:
- Smaller
- Two doors
- More expensive to insure

These are the main differences I've found. I still haven't decided  It'll probably come down more to color, price, or availability rather than body style.
