oh and by random coincidence I happened to be loading CNN.com just as that story was posted and thus was one of the first responders on the "How do you identify yourself sexually?" poll and because the numbers were still so low (like 100 people total had voted) the "asexual" percentage was like THIRTEEN PERCENT.

You're only considered asexual if you have never really been sexually attracted to ANYONE. By that criteria, one percent is a significantly large number.

it seems to me that asexual people wouldn't jack off at all actually. because it means that you have no sexual yearnings at all.

i dunno, maybe, but since it's in the category of homo- and heterosexual, the "a" more implies you don't have anywhere to direct your sexual attentions. because the lack of a sexual drive versus having one is a real biological issue, isn't it, moreso than "i like men" versus "i like women" (although that has biological elements too, of course, unless you're Dick Cheney's daughter).
