1 week to go

I think it is safe to say I am extremely excited. I'm going to Ozzfest before Bloodstock, but it seems all my excitement is directed at Bloodstock.

Highlight? A real tough one. I'm looking forward to seeing the bands I've not yet seen live, but that is a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment.

It will be brilliant to see Saxon, Skyclad, Blaze and Orange Goblin again as they are all fantastic live. I'm pretty excited about Return to the Sabbat too as Sabbat were always excellent.

I'd also like to think I'm going to meet some new people. IF we can agree where to meet.....

Oh, let's face it, the whole day is going to be a highlight!

Yep I'm well excited. Really looking forward to Saxon, Blaze, Glenn Hughes, Skyclad and Orange Goblin. But as said above the Festival itself will just be the years highlight!

Aside from all the top 'old school' metal I'm really looking forward to Primal Fear. I'm so into power Metal at the moment & it's rare for European bands like this to play in Britan. Nice one Bloodstock for getting them, more of the same next year please.

Its got to be Primal Fear for me!.Love all the other bands as well but to get the Fear over is an amazing scoop.Hope they are as good live as on cd!Cheers and beers!!!!!.

Next Monday just can't be here soon enough for me, it's making this week really drag!
As for highlights seeing Blaze live again closely followed by Area 54's first festival appearance, having said that the biggest highlight of them all is meeting up with all the good folks from the BLAZE BB again, Roll on Monday :D

Skyclad will be my highlight..Walkiers last gig!

I am looking forward to seeing Saxon again, and of course BLAZE!

It'll be cool to check some new bands out too! (for a change!)

err, 3 guesses who my highlight is going to be...?
I still don't really believe I am going to get to see them, I have waited soooooo long, I think I can just about manage 6 more days...
Actually, I am rather looking forward to seeing what Blaze is up to now, and (shamed as I am to admit it) I expect Saxon to put on a show worth watching. But as Lilac says, the whole day should be something special.

Zeb, you wont be disappointed. I have toured most of the UK supporting them and I am sure you will enjoy them. For me they will be the highlight as well as seeing Dirty Deeds, Area 54 and meeting everyone of the Blaze BB again.

I think the highlight will be Primal Fear.
I have seen them a couple of times, for example at the Wacken Open Air festival.
It surprised me that they play at the Bloodstock festival as I expected only UK bands. But I must say that I miss some other UK bands like Praying Mantis, Raven, Angelwitch, Tank or other NWOBHM bands. Those bands maybe 'old', but they still play like hell ! Younger bands lack often the show element.

It's for me the first time I go to England (I'm from Holland) and I am curious how the English Heavy Metal scene is today.
Here in Holland (and especially in Germany) Heavy Metal is still big and a lot of younger bands are having succes overhere like Rhapsody,Hammerfall or Sacred Steel.
Anyway, we're leaving tomorrow morning for England and we stay at the nearby camping. I hope that there will be a party as well.

Cheers
