1000 reasons to buy damage done today

here's a game-like thread for the board, aka spam.

the rules are quite simple: every post here must have a numbered reason why one might want to buy damage done today, starting from me posting nr. 1 and ending with a lucky winner posting nr. 1000, unless you all ignore this thread, which is what i would do if i were you.

the funnier the reason, the better: 12. because i wanted to support treatment for a band who picks a dwarf as a moderator and 447. because it helps saving the rainforests are both perfectly good motives to me.

so i guess my reason nr. 1 is:
1. because i'd be the envy of all my friends at new year's eve party
