...

Notherrealm - no songs, you know that, no comment.

The Blue Moon - coolish, very groovy. Like it a fair bit and am interested in hearing more.

Malicious Entity - Good music screwed up by silly vocals. Could be pretty damn good if the vocalist sang rather than grunted.

The Implicated Order - No words, just one smilie:  And now for some more words. If that's those guys underproduced then I'm going to be first in line for a proper recording. That may not be true. But I'll strongly consider getting it.

Im uploading IE stuff at the moment so I cant check it out tonight, if you post some direct links tomorrow ill download them at work! (As long as they dont finish in .mpw, my proxy blocks them if they do  otherwise ill try and have a look tomorrow night, as they sound alright to me :) )

Northerealm need to change their logo! Getting to the others soon, ill download them while I get dinner :)

Implicate Order: Not bad, pretty standard black metal, but not bad all the same

Malicious Entity: Great stuff!! Till the cookie monster comes on and ruins it :)

HAHAH HOLY SHIT YOUR PLAYING A GIG IN RESERVOIR!!! I USE TO LIVE IN RESERVOIR!!! CLOSE TO THAT CIVIC CENTER TOO!!! but i moved before it was built.

god Reservoir is a shitty place to live in, i highly suggest moving to Millpark to anyone that still lives in Reservoir.

btw i got to Lakeside which is in Reservoir too, its a good school not shit like most of Reservoir.

You cannot even read the Northerealm logo, that may be the point, but it just looks like squiggle :)

Deadlord by Implicate Order sounds EXACTLY like black metal to me!

Malicious Entity could go far though, just tell him to listen to David Vincent to hear how a death metal vocalist can clearly enunciate words while still sounding aggressive, thats what you should be going for :) (IMHO)

"Hey! Are you going to that big metal gig on Saturday?"

"Who's playing?"

"Green squiggle, some sort of silvery sharp looking thing and the band with that blue thing!"

damn where was your singer when i was looking for a band? :( now i live in Millpark which is about 15 minutes away.

there are small pockets of area's that are nice but overall Reservoir is a shit hole, its going down the shithouse mega-quick, you get so many druggies and ferals walking along Edwards st now its not funny.

:waah: Ahahahahaha, mate, I may be a newbie here, but I still think I have the right to defend myself, firstly, I would like to hear you be able to get as much power vocally as myself, and still be as understandable as I am, if you listened to Flavour Of The Weak, and heard some extremely low, muffled growls, that would be Nick, the rest is all me, and I pride myself on enunciating the words as best I can.

Secondly, it is not ALL about understandable vocals, if you want to know what I am growling/screaming, then have a look at the lyrics,, I assume you can read, can't you?

Other then that, I find it somewhat amusing, but none the less, reassuring that there is at least some positive feedback on M.E. considering the doginess of the recording quality, and the very poor mic we've been using.

On a final note, please, keep heading back to the site, as we are working on new material every chance we get, thanks.

p.s. cheers for the plug, Ben, can't wait to see you guys at Reservoir soon

I, for one, wouldn't want to. a) It hurts my throat. b) I think it sounds silly.

That's not to say you're bad at it. In fact, you may even be extraordinarily good at it. It's just not my thing, and for me, it's the vocals on the M.E. stuff that lets it down. I think it would be great if the vocals were more in the style of Matt Barlow or Tom Araya, or whoever the guy is from Testament.

I wonder if the guys in Nile sit around and think they are understandable as well... After all, they know what they are saying, so everyone else must!

Whether I have as much power as you growling is completely and utterly irrelevant. If you like your vocals on the songs, why do you give a shit what I think? Draven asked for opinions so thats what I gave. Perhaps you would be better off going to the Nile message board if you only want to hear praise for your vocals.

I can read, but you do realise the stupidity of growling then telling people to look at the lyrics when they cant understand a word of it dont you? Why dont you just growl about pooh and rainbows as nobody will notice the difference.
