Dont know if anyones seen this, but I thought it was a decent mod for the guitar and something to post

My Mate picked up one of these jobbys the 3576, routed out the back of the guitar and dropped in the two 9volts, easy maintanence and great sound

There's been a few discussions about this, even a major experiment comparing 9v vs 18v. Have a bit of a search. It was interesting to see the results.

ah no debate on the 9V versus 18V, this link is a battery box for the 18Volt setup - thought it quite niffty to be able to replace your batteries from clips at the back of the fiddle

Ouch. Man, I could never take away that much meat from my guitars. My control cavity easily fits 2 9 volts as is, so I'll suffer the time to unscrew the cover!
