Now to all you musicians, I don't mean the first gig you ever played but the first you ever went to and everyone, I'm not going to consider the Country Bear Jamboree at Disney Land when you were a kid a legitimate show, neither will some jug and washboard act at a county fair cut it  .

Okay, I'll go first. It was back in '83', Riverside Ca. at the Deanza Theatre. The line up was 45 Grave, D.I. and Agent Orange (yes it was a punk gig, please don't chastise me too severely ) I remember the sign in the lobby that boldly stated, WARNING! 130 DECIBELS, MAY CAUSE HEARING DAMAGE. That may be a contributing factor (along with all the other shows I've attended) that I frequently say "huh, whadja say?" when someone says something to me.

Anyway I had a great time and knew that I was 'home'..... sort of speak. That night influenced me to this very day :headbang:.....just not for the better some might say :erk:

sad to say:

Night Ranger
Patty Center

 That is hilarious!

For me, it was a free show just outside of Columbus, Ohio. The band was Vengeance Rising, a christian speed metal band (yes, you read that right) that kicked ass. I think that was in 1990.

My first show was oh so metal! I don't know how many Americans will have heard of or remember these guys but I went to see S Club 7!!!  Who remembers their Miami 7/LA 7 tv shows?? :loco: That was such a fun night!! My first rock gig was Korn on their Untouchables tour, especially since they jammed on a bit of One and I nearly lost my mind!!!

HAHAHA... I got you all beat on the BEST show.. HAHAHAHA Same as Arch it was the mid 70's I thing I was 7 or 8 and it was at the Greek Theater.....Shawn Cassidy....Oh Yeah that is right Shawn F'in Cassidy. The only thing I remember is that we thought we were cool, cause one of the mom's dropped us at the bottom of the hill and we got to take the bus up to the venue.

Iron Maiden of course... summer 1988, New Haven Coliseum, New Haven CT.

Frehley's Comet opened, and boy oh boy, was he fried....

I had forgotten my earplugs that night so I remember trying to use newspaper or something to keep my ears from bleeding... that worked well... not.

Paul Revere and the Raiders at Magic Mountain when I was just a little pup with my whole family!! LOL! I guess my folks wanted to see them and dragged us along after a day of roller coastering! I just remember being amazed by all the people getting so fired up and the electricity (I had no idea who the band was) but at the same time getting mad at the dumb girls in front of me who kept dancing and blocking my view!!!

:saint: Stryper w/ Leatherwolf opening @ Universal Amp in L.A.

My parents didn't like metal and wouldn't take me to any show except Stryper since they were Christian. So my mom took me and a friend from school to this show..she loosened up a little when she realized I wasn't killing goats & sacrificing virgins and dropped me off at Dio & Accept a year later. :)

"Day on the Green #3" in the summer of 1978 at the Oakland Coliseum which included:
Ted Nugent (he came swinging down onto the stage from a rope - it was nuts!)
Aerosmith
AC/DC
Mahogany Rush

The funny thing was that the only song I knew out of the entire concert was "Cat Scratch Fever!" The rest of the show I just saw people smoking pot everywhere. That was my intro to Rock & Roll :headbang:

August 22, 1978 at Milwaukee Arena.

March 17, 1985, Long Beach Arena - World Slavery Tour
Yep, my first ever show was recorded for posterity as Live After Death
It was my brother's gift for my 15th birthday. Twisted Sister opened.
