i just got back from the Opeth show at irving plaza, ny 2/27. i just want to post i guess how much i love this band, and how evokative opeth's music is to me. the first time i heard them, i saw visions of forests. Bleak and an insanely tight version of Deliverance were, i think, the highlights tonight, along with the addition of synth and keys for the last two tours/ Not to mention a highly boisterous and intoxicated Julia from uranium on the coat check line afterwards. I had to go alone to this show which i was willing to do, but it was awesome to meet people who took me in amidst the crowd. if there is an ashley reading this, you are gorgeous and we should talk. now i should just get my hands on that lamentations dvd until hopefully opeth's return next year.
