2 bands, both recorded 4 songs with me, check out my mix! which mix do you like more!

i think the mixes are equally good. the music sucks major balls for my taste, but that doesnt mean that it is bad. you did a terrific job!

sounds like joey sturgis is one of your idols ? sounds almost exactly like his work. (kick 10z1 and some z4 on the snare for room)

the drums are mostly steven slate 4, mixed with some samples I found off this forum, seraph free kick drum is in there, I'm gonna buy one of this kick drums soon, i like them. I bought jvals kick drums and I put one of them in there as well. the hi hat is from joey sturgis emrald kit, the rest of the cymbals I had the drummer actually sample mixed in a bit with his real drum playing, this is for band number 2 by the way. but same kinda deal for band number one, i used like 1 or two joey samples mixed with my own cymbal samples. ya i was trying to go for sturgis core, cause the bands wanted to sound like sturgis core. glad you think it sounds similar, means I did a good enough imitation job! one day ill try to make more of my own sound

hey man that second one sounds awesome. i was curious how did you process the clean vocals for that one?

i used ns guitars vocal chain that i found on this forum for screams on the clean vocals as well, i tweaked it a bit, i saw that brian hood said to ns guitar something like "ohh thats my exact chain as well" so i was like yeee ima doo that too. so basically like a bunch of limiting, two vocals. but it starts with the source . i saw you used the sm7b but you still have the filter on it in the picture along with a pop screen. take the filter off and just use the pop screen and keep the vocalist really close right in front of the mic. i just kept the main vocal completely dry, and the double a little bit lower but with a stereo doubler on it and tons of reverb with a long tail. and then i bussed them together and but a plate reverb i think and probably some ping pong delay on that buss as well. i used an seventh circle n72 mic pre cranked the midrange colour , hmm also i used the se reflexion filter with my sm7b
