Sounds great!

There's usually at least something on the horizon here....but after Blind Guardian it's like the well ran dry. The only show I'm even considering is Dark Funeral / Enslaved, and that only for Enslaved....and it's kind of a drive. I'm so used to everyone coming to me that I don't know if it's worth that....it's like 2 or 3 hours away. Ah well, I did see a lot this year (Jethro Tull, Blind Guardian, Celtic Frost, Tool...and about 8 or 10 others), and 2007 already has possibility...Celtic Frost coming back, as is Tool....and who knows who else.

Anyway, cheers to all the shows.

Nice list Carnut.

Just saw Jon Oliva this past Sat. night. He opened with 'Warriors', then right into 'Beyond the Doors of the Dark', which kicked so much ass!

Next on the horizon is Slayer in Feb. Can't think of anything else at the moment.

Fuck, FUCK, fuck (I have seen DP twice)!

If I make it to PPVIII and maybe Motorhead that will be for me 2007 :erk:

Yup I want to see Benedictum again.

carnut said:
Jan 25th Krokus

This looks like it could be great.
But I have to wait and see

carnut said:
Feb 10th Crumbsuckers + The Accused

I wonder if this will be worth the effort.

carnut said:
March 9th Kreator + Celtic Frost

Whoa!! Killer bill, killer gig! Will I survive this?
I hope so but I am not sure. I am very much looking
forward to this one!

carnut said:
March 10th Saxon + Masterplan

Hell yea! This will kick my butt. Its been to
long since I have seen Saxon! And I am curious how
Mike DiMeo will fit into Masterplan. Btw Rose Tattoo
is also part of the bill.

carnut said:
april 6th Kamelot

Yes , Yes, Yes, Kamelot :worship: I might see them two
times because on 30.03.07 they will play in PLATO
in Helmond which is pretty near to where I live.

carnut said:
april 14th KIT (Laaz Rockit, Piledriver, Leathal ,Diamond Head etc)

This might become the highlight of the concert year for me.
Especially Lethal is a fantastic band and seeing them live will
be a dream coming true. Perhaps Princess of the Night will
consider coming to Germany to see her beloved Diamond Head?

carnut said:
april 20th JOP accoustic

Man! I am soo there. :headbang:

carnut said:
april 21nd Jon Oliva's Pain

This will be a party! Believe me!

carnut said:
May 1st Marillion

Hmmm I have to think about this one.
Now if this would have been the more progressive Marilion
with Fish... I would have been there is a sec

carnut said:
may 18th Deep Purple

I think I'll pass this one.

carnut said:
August 1&2 Sacred Reich

Yes! Its been almost 20 years since I have seen them
live in Eindhoven. Would love to see them again.

carnut put this one in your agenda as well:

*7+8 April Headway*

Announcement from the main organizer:

----------------------

Hey everyone

About time to give some information on the line-up.
So far, these bands are confirmed:

- Into Eternity (USA)
- Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (USA)
- Mind's Eye (SWE)
- To-Mera (UK) www.myspace.com/tomeraband
- Seventh Wonder (SWE)

And to celebrate our 5th anniversary, we have confirmed some bands we really enjoyed at previous editions:
- Zero Hour (USA)
- Last Crack (USA)
- Loch Vostok (SWE)

We will confirm more bands within short, including a fine selection of Dutch talents and a grand headliner. Pre-sales will probably start in January 2007.

----------------------------

Into Eternity from Canada and not the US are great!! This band rules!!
Seventh Wonder is a very promising new band. carnut and me have been pimping this band vigorously and we will keep doing it.

Last Crack is a great band from the 90s and I want to see them live really bad!

Zero Hour well what can I say, I love this band! I'll be there!

Somewhere in late April 2007, my wive's gonna kick me out !!!

Headway festival sounds interesting indeed !!!

Yup, you suck!

Wow, what a list. Lots of good things on there, and you European types do make us jealous. There are so many people, like Doro, that I've never seen live and doubt I ever will. I'm also jealous of people like Whisper that live in Florida and can see Oliva (in any incarnation) all the time.

Philly used to get a lot of tours, and if they weren't here, they were in Birch Hill, NJ, about 90 mins away. Lately, most bands have been skipping Philly and playing NYC and Virginia. As if my city didn't have enough of an inferiority complex already!

That said . . . Blind Guardian on Saturday. Jamaica on Sunday! It's all good.

Steve in Philly

Hawk, I see Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is coming to that festival. They are from San Francisco.....I've seen them a few times. They are one of those few bands I've found where I simply could not get into the albums, but kind of wanted to because their live shows are killer. It's almost performance art....you'll see. Just crazy, crazy stuff. They are VERY experimental, but do have a metal edge. Totally weird, crazy, fun band live.

... and a gender change if you wanna reside at Hawk longer

Hmmm

haha. Yeah, that pretty much describes 'em. Still, don't let the records fool ya, they will simply blow you away live. Real weird stuff.....but very smart somehow. Like I said, I haven't really been able to get into their records.......it's definately a visual thing with them.
