I'm more impressed with his avatar than his knowledge of classics. It seems like every third person around here is an academic of some sort.

Yep. Although I have some pretty intense problems with the education system, so I'm mainly just trying to sabotage the railroaded bullshit education I'm supposed to give to people in the hope a few of them might, maybe, possibly think for themselves. I don't give a toss what about, only that they strive to be a unique voice.

Just like Dead Poets Society, except I'm better looking than Robin Williams and I usually don't let a steady gay undertone permeate the lecture room.

At a certain point, people tend to settle for what they've been dealt, and are taught that to do this is a good thing. That's the underlying problem, I think.

I remember I had a Marine working with us, the only really, really intelligent Marine I've ever met, actually. He had the greatest fucked up sense of humor.

I remember one time we were talking about films and he goes, "Have you ever seen Mannequin 2? Because I haven't, I just read the book."

To this day I'm laughing at that.

They mostly come at night, mostly.

T2 is indeed a given.

Alien/s is a more subjective afair as far as I'm concerned......... The genre differences between the two can cause substantial deviations in preference at any given time. BOTH top notch, no doubt.
