4/4 'Groove' metal (Axe-2/Sup-2)

What are you listening on?! There is a lot of bass. I cut mostly around 500 and a bit at 280 for tightness. Might just be my personal tastes. I think the kit just lacks a bit of space might bring in the room mic a bit more.

I'm listening on mackie MR8s and beyerdynamic DT 770s. I can't hear much low-end at all, and I don't hear an actual bass guitar track. Boost the 800hz on the guitar tone and if there is a bass track in there, raise the low-end on it. The mix is good so far, but once the guitars and drums glue better, it'll be solid.

o.O theres definitely bass in that song, Its much more apparent on the youtube version. For some reason I am really liking the youtube quality song vs the soundcloud version. The soundcloud version sounds hollow and distant to me, whereas the youtube version sounds punchy and in my face. Something about the drums isn't attracting me. I think they are punching way too hard especially the kick.

Yeah I don't think i'm too keen on soundcloud. Thanks for the advice and kind words guys.

i can hear the bass on my rp5's, they go down to 55hz! it's like meshuggah, where the bass is always although you can never quite put your finger on it. pretty cool ideas, a bit to much fizz in the guitars for my taste, love that there's a lot of "string" involved, but you could bring down the high-end.
