480 Acre fire in my town and I had no idea

honestly dude, 480 acres isn't all that big!

many of the fires out west have been burning up millions of acres over a period of months

i remember one fire a few years ago around santa barbara was started on memorial day, and burned until it started raining in november-december...

We had one a few years back that i think got to like 30,000 or something....that one i noticed, all the roads were packed with traffic, sky was orange, and it was raining ashes for a few days i thought i was in an alien movie or some shit lol...I just found this weird to be going on, and myself and alot of my neighbors had no knowledge of it whatsoever

You know you live in CA when gargantuan wildfires are no longer eventful things.

"are there any houses in the fire's path?"

"no, sir"

"GTFO"
