Our singer/guitarist is looking for a new cab and he could probably stretch to €800, maybe €900 max.
In our shop right now we have Coreblade, Framus Dragon & Cobra, Blackstar S1 and some Peaveys (no thanks) in that general price range.
Not looking for a cheaper option, been there, done that! :)

Other cabs available to us after ordering are H&K's other variants, Orange, Krank (other guitarist had one).
Mesa, VHT/Fryette and Bogner are also available but these are over our budget (not many Mesa's around used.. *sigh*).

He's using an ENGL Fireball and we'll be testing the ones in the shop with it at some point but I'm looking for some opinions beforehand.

I'd also wait for a used Mesa. I also have an ENGL E412VS (Pro), which also houses V30s but the Mesa is a lot better imo. Might be because I bought the Mesa used and the speakers are properly broken in while the ENGL still has something around 50 hours. But the Mesa is definitely worth the wait if you ask me. Orange cabs sound tits as well, though.

Thanks for the responses!

The other guitarist uses a Marshall 1960(A?) w/ V30s. (Should probably have mentioned that.. sorry!)
It's not that it's bad, but I guess we're looking for something different, for recordings as well as live.
Although anything will be better after this Laney thingy we have now.. even if it does have the GTs from the Marshall cab in there.. ;)

I just saw a used Mesa cab for sale for 1100€ .. I can get a new one for that price!

We had a quick test of the Coreblade stack the other day and that sounded pretty good. The cab is a solid piece furniture, very heavy.

How do those Oranges record?

I've been touring a bit and 90% of the time playing on local band's cab (I only own a 2x12 framus that I use when nothing else is available) , so basically I played the same rig though like 20 different cabs this year, so from that experience I say : mesa is awesome but my favourite one would be orange :)

PPC414 slope black is next on my GAS list muahahah

(shittiest one I ever played was a line6 if I remember well ^^)

ever thought about Randall?

Not very popular around here, but I'm quite happy with my RA 412 CV (4x12 with V30).
Also played through it live, and most of the time it worked pretty good (apart from really small stages, but mostly anything will be overpowered by our drummer on those when you cant crank it as you'd want to)
Its about 600€ new iirc
But I've allready played through shitty randall cabs, so maybe I got lucky on finding that one in a store.

It's a bit strong it the high mids and doesnt have that fatness of the Mesa OS. It's more of a tight cab I guess
used on our album with 6505+ and a 57 on rhythms (link in sig)

not the greates cab around, but works pretty nice for the price imo.
Also playes nice in Bb standard, so I guess A shouldnt be a problem too
