so i took my 5150 to get modded by midwest matamp,

he did the mods i asked for input cap bypass etc and bias adjustment

he also added slugging caps across the 3rd and 4th stages which frankly i HATE the sound of. i think i've located the sods however now i need to know if i removed these what did they even replace?

and as you can see i cant really see a lot because of the amount of glue the tithead has used!

hope you can help boys

tbh getting that glue off is going to be an issue.

its the third and fourth stage or so he said!

Looks like you are on the wrong part of the board. If he means what I think he means, then you want to look on the little board that has the preamp tubes on it. What you took a picture of is the bias mod, those big blue caps are there in the stock amp.

If that's anything like hot glue, some rubbing alcohol will unglue it. If it's the more rubbery stuff, good luck that stuff is a pita.
