666

[Tough As Steel]

An interesting thing. I recently bought a new car, and after a couple of weeks, i was driving and switched the trip meter display over to the odemter reading to see how many kilometres i had travelled so far. At the precise moment i did that, it was on 666.

A week or so later i was driving again and flicking through different readings on the trip meter. My trip meter said i had travelled 266 km since i last filled up, and when i swicthed to the very next reading, which was distance (in km) until the fuel tank was empty, it said 400. So i had travelled 266km and had 400km to go before i had to refill. 666 again!!!

What is up with the number 666?

It must be some mathematical chaos thing.

I think it's just a number you automatically notice when you see it,so therefore you think you see it more then other numbers.

Well i used to work in a Bank many years ago, and was a teller.

Every now and again, maybe once or twice a year, my cash balance would be out $6.66. I was never out $3.33 or $5.55.

There was another guy there who used to observe the same thing, but then he was a Maiden fan too. Maybe that song has screwed me up in the head.
