7 year old Drummer

Back in elementary school there was this 'wonder boy' 7-8yr old drummer, he was even allowed to play at all the school official events and the like. The kid had a lot of groove, and hammered on the drums like he was going to break them.
Fast forward 10 years, we ended up meeting again at uni, taking a bunch of the same classes. He had given up drumming, majored in music production, and nowadays he plays guitar in a local pop band.
Point being, little kids playing an instrument don't necessarily end up becoming outstanding at it, unless they're either forced to do so, or develop a passion for it on their own.
Imo the kid's playing on the video above is nothing to write home about, sorry

Like Jason Becker, for exemple...
And his playing is impressive for his age, IMO
