8 ins for drums, best choices in bad situation

i havent tried this but ive heard from a few people that a d112 turned the other way is better

Yeah I hear sideways is better but I just got it up close to the beater so I have a good starting point to trigger with. They are such a horrid mic, looking to upgrade it for a e602 or a 52 FTW

d112 are alright , they have there use somewhere , i prefer them on a bass cab to a beta 52

on the stereo amb. They can really give some nice glue and vibe to the whole kit even if you're gonna replace the kick and snare pretty much 100%
