I ask any and all of you... Who on this planet can kick more swedish death metal ass today than Bloodbath? Mikael Akerfeldt is hands down one of the best low growlers ever. That man has so much texture in that beastial howl than anyone I've ever heard. This is death metal done right. I like them even more than Entombed. The Fathomless Mastery was fucking stellar from the first track to the eleventh without remorse. I wasn't this psyched about a death metal since I first discovered None So Vile. You think you know better? Show me. In the meantime, words are for the weak:

Pretty much every other old school style swedish death metal band. Boring boring boring. Resurrection Through Carnage was pretty good, but completely unoriginal of course (wasn't supposed to be, so thats fine).

The singer from repugnant reminds of the singer from Atheist... It's good, but it's no Akerfeldt-brutality.

Akerfeldt is overrated. I prefer vocalists with a little more of a roaring power. IMO he should stick to making mellow music.
