Greetings fair Symphony X fans!

Aren't they great? I made a cd today combining the six studio albums in mp3 format for my player, in order of the debut to their latest release, and I must say, it was quite an experience listening to their works as a whole from beggining to end. It was the first time I ever listened to all songs sequentially, and I do recommend you guys trying it sometime! No I'm not that bored and had nothing else to do, I took the disc with me to work(I'm a painter) and fortunatley I was able to listen to it in it's entirety before taking a break, or being interrupted by other things.

I hope that I haven't alienated myself by any comments I have made in the past. I usually only state an opinion, or rouse an idiot. I love metal just as much as the next guy, but alas, I'm not cut out for public meeting of fellow fans. So, I try here and other places on the net under other pseudonyms to meet and discuss metal, etc.

Anyways, all apologies if anything I've ever posted cut anyone to the heart.

Communication on this level can be intense, especially on Forums such as this one. IMO, the SymX Forum people seem to have a nicer and tighter bond. There's a curiosity about people who you talk (type) with and I often wonder what certain people are like to know in person. It's a strange but stimulating environment and a real head trip sometimes. :Spin:

Anyway, I have a sarcastic sort of humor and I think at times that some of my posts may be taken differently from my intent, because no-one really knows me, other than I'm the old man here. I have enjoyed this place and you all from day one.

Regarding your comment, I personally don't believe anyone is alienated here. That's what it seems to me.

I still like the Symphony X Commune idea !! Was that The Yngster who said that????? :headbang:

yup me too :D it would be great living around people u know share similar tastes and you know you would get along with..and..cough.. we all know that proggies and syx fans are elite to the rest of the mundane world..cough..

Polyeidus, I've known you to be nothing but a complete gentleman in anything you've ever said to anybody, so don't worry so much..we all love ya here. And Pharaoh the same goes to you.. And for the last time you're not old!!!! Hell i feel like the odd one out, the only person I know of who is really around my age is Polyeidus.

seeing as we are on such a topic.. i think some people may sometimes think me bitchy for some of my more abrupt comments when that really isnt my intention. I'm just sort of a no bullshit kind of woman and say it how i see it in all aspects. But in the end its just me, take it or leave it.. i dont care.

I am lucky. Most of my friends love Power/Prog metal. I would love being in a community with mostly metal heads like though. Sometimes while washing my car and Having Symphony X blasting some people were offended which I find very hard because of how awesome they are.

Poly,
I don't know why your appologising, your cool as hell and have alot of Cd's.
Just because you got into a bit of a 'thing' with Macy doesn't mean shit to me, so don't worrey about it.

People are pretty pissed off at me at the moment... but i appologised about the misunderstanding, so i hope i'm forgivin.

I never think that you're a bitch, i don't think anyone else does either, you helped alot in the off-topic thread about my 'female' problems, and your the only other ozzy that posts here often, so thats cool.

I don't really know what people think of me. At the moment some people think i'm a immiture 13 year old shit-head that has no respect for the genius of MJR. Which is bullshit, and i hope people realise that. But other than that i don't really know? Some kid who swares too much?
I don't know, you tell me:D

PS: the commune idea kicks ass!

I don't want to sound really emotional but I want to say that I consider the people here in this forum to be my friends moreso than the people that I actually hang out with in real life. When I first joined this place I felt like everyone was ignoring me, but now I feel that I have earned my place in this great online community of friends. The people that I've known as friends since I was a child have kind of pushed me away, and whenever I'm with them I can't help thinking, "Damn I wish I was at the forum right now..." Hey let's build that commune now!

aww thankies Shreddi.. No I dont think youre an immature 13yr old, theres some things in life you know far more about than i do, so in a sense I admire you.

And for the mjr comment.. I think you have seen now how anyones words could possibly be taken in a wrong way..and I think you have learned from that, as we all have to continually learn things throughout our lives. Learning never ends, even for a 90yr old man on his deathbed, so don't be thinking its because you're a little bit younger..So dont sweat it so much.

Actually because ur a little bit younger and are also Aussie, it may sound wierd but I have this sort of 'mother-hen' thing going on about you. Anyone picks on you my feathers get ruffled.

Oh, don't remind me of hen's, my 'crstian living' teacher at school is Mrs. Henn and literally talks like a chicken (she's from Africa somewear) and is s00000000 bloody annoying!

Shit, this thread is too deep, and my musculinity prevents me from making it deeper, seeya!:D

Shreddi, you make me laugh and I'm glad you're here. Everybody likes you. Just be careful with outright comments that could really hurt anyone's feelings, that's all. Same here as in person, really. Jax has a responsibility with this Forum and she does an excellent job. IMO, it's the best Forum anyone could be a part of.

Hey, like the people at work think about ME, this metalhead thing is my midlife crisis :p

I appreciate the kind words. I guess it's not an issue of confidence, but of simple reassurance.

The people who have responded are the one's I've come to respect most here anyways. Cool.

I'm good now. :)

That's exactly how I feel. Which is pretty sad, but hey... that's my life. Or lack thereof. A SyX commune would be pretty cool, if highly unrealistic. :p

can you imagine it though.. would it be something like a hippie commune except we all get around in SyX shirts and have daily meditation to SyX music?.. kidding of course..

It will be like our own religion ;)

Well you're joking now, but.. last night when I lay in bed I was thinking (while listening to V) just how great Symphony X are. I just couldn't get there with my thoughts just how good they are, music from their hearts & souls!! Therefore I just want to say I have the deepest respect for them!! Sorry for going off topic, I just wanted to let out what I thought.

But uhm maybe no religion after all :loco:.
