A Fair Judgement 3:38-6:20...

hehehe. i've always had orgasms after 3:26 (i think it's that? it's 3 min something! i don't remember anymore...) of nectar. i can't actually think of a fair judgement at the moment

The best part of the entire album, in my opinion, is at 4:32 of A Fair Judgement. Especially when the overdubbed vocals come in.

yeah, at 3:06? with that strange guitar sound, really wonderful :) a similar part is IMO the acoustic intro to Advent.

Yeah, it´s wonderful. I also love the mellow part in Deliverance where Mikael sings "Deliverance... Thrown back at me... Deliverance... Laughing at me". So beautiful. And the mellow part in Master's Apprentices. Well, if Damnation is even close to this stuff, and the mellow parts on their other albums of course, it´s gonna be a killer.

8:55-14:48 Black Rose Immortal..... If the whole song was as good as that, then it would fly close to the top of my favorite Opeth songs...... Actually 8:55-end is incredible, but that section is an udderly perfect stretch of music.... Too bad from the beginning to 7:26 is just average opeth.... (but still awesome nonetheless)

8:55-14:48 has so many classic Opeth moments in it... such as 9:20, 9:38, 9:43, 10:40, 12:21, and the almighty 13:38 (utterly orgasmic)

Now I realize, if the entire song was as good as this section (no, 7:26 - end) then Black Rose Immortal would be my favorite song ever.....

I was thinking the same, so I started going through it from about 9:00 back and kept extending the "really good" section untiI realized all that doesn't strike me is the very first riff. So nevermind, since I kind of like that too. Everything from the.. watery part and on, I especially like though. BRI is still not one of my favorite or most listened songs despite that.

2:26 to about 2:29 of A Fair Judgement... that blew my mind when I heard it... I had to reverse the song a few seconds and hear it again it was like 'holy shit!! did Mike just shred out of that riff????'. I still love it to this day :).
