A forgotten VENOM gem...

Ok, so when CALM BEFORE THE STORM First came out (aside from the fact that many of you may not even have been born), I DESPISED this album..

Even moreso than Celtic Frost's "Into The Pandemonium" or "Cold Lake"

It simply wasn't Venom.

Well, fast forward to today and with a much more musically open mind and ears, I find this song to be a jam!!! No, this is NOT necro kvlt VENOM which influenced DarkThrone and Mayhem......

I mind liking a song that I heard from the local metal radio show. Sometime later (88 or 89) I saw the tape in a cheap bin. Bought it, put it in the Walkman and it instantly chewed. Never went back.

only a few songs like witching hour and black metal. in general i find it pretty horrible stuff

Didn't someone once say keyboards did not belong in metal? HAHA
I alsways like this album, it saw a little turn for Venom or maybe it was just Venom trying to grow up a bit. It is a very looked over album though.

I don't like Venom either. A couple Venom songs are OK. Doesn't matter which ones, once I've heard a couple I'm done.
