Does anyone have a good recomendation for a before and after test of a piece of equipment. I have a berhinger tube pre i'm gonna modify over the next couple of weeks. i was just wondering what would be the most accurate way to test it. maybe record something, then route the signal out of my interface back into another channel and compare the two tracks?

may i ask which model? if it's a MIC2200, there's a site somewhere with a good test of swapping out the tubes. The conclusion was dissapointing though.
