A Guitar that tunes itself?

a guitar that tunes itself? Is it just a funny toy or a serious new technology? Do we need stuff like that? Did someone try this thing?

Ahh, the Robot Guitars...they had so much promise but rolled over faster than an eleven year old Thai hooker.

The theory behind them was a marvelous idea. However for some reason or another Gibson did not pay much attention to the electronics involved with them so they of course had issues with them. I think it ended up being a gimmick in the end. There was just way too much technology involved to justify the price tag for those things. Gibson has had a history of *almost* hitting the mark with their new products but just miss them narrowly enough to be considered flops. Too bad, too.
