a little avatar help, please

I have a picture i want to use as my avatar, but it is too big. can someone tell me how i can shrink it down to the size required for an avatar?

Us PhotoEditor or Microsoft Paint - use can use either one to resize the image. Go to image, and then select resize. Any computer that came with Windows will have Microsoft Paint.

I use Paintshop Pro, but its not cheap... You can probably find a cracked version of a program like it on Kazaa or so. Anything that has the option to 'resize' a picture, so you can put it at 100 x 100. my avatar right now was 1024 x 768, but I reduced it to 100 x 100 without too much picture quality loss.

Paint is easy to do it with. Right click your picture, select "Open with Paint" and go to the Image tab and "Stretch/Skew" and try differenct percentages to see how it affects the size. Save it under a different name the first time or you mught fuck it up.
