A Question for all you Deathheads

Seems like most of the friends I have who listen to death metal only like the old school florida stuff. They just arent very moved by At The Gates, Dismember, or any of the swedish death metal. Hey I like both flavors myself, though lately I've been spinning cds from the cold lands where the vikings dwell...

So what do you people think, what sort of DEATH metal do you prefer and why?

I like music with some sort of a melody, hence I like the Swedish Melodic Death Metal.

I think your friends are cunts. They can't say they don't like Swedish Death Metal while proclaiming to be Death Metal listeners. They mustn't generalise, there are bands for everyone.
